We are all so proud of Paul - he has run the 2017 London Marathon!!

What a day - weather was good (although Paul said it got a bit hot when he was running), atmosphere was very good and we all had a good time. Paul did very well - completed it in 5hrs 15mins, which he was a bit disappointed in as he wanted to do it in 4hrs to 4 1/2hrs but he hurt his leg just after mile 14 and was in a lot of pain, so he was walking, jogging and stopping to do stretching exercises on his leg - BUT HE FINISHED IT !!  Apart from that he said he felt fine and both Geraldine and I said that he LOOKED ok, not shattered as he has looked in the past after running (think he's getting used to it now).  AND he has almost raised the £2,000 required so a very big WELL DONE and a BIG THANK YOU to Paul.  He does it for you George, I should think that you know that - it was emotional for all of us on the day - thinking of you and why Paul does these runs - seeing the way you suffered and the loss we ALL feel - we hope that they will help others in the future, although it goes without saying we wish with all our hearts that you were still here with us....no words will EVER express our loss that we all are suffering with......

Geraldine came to support Paul (and me) she came with me on the Saturday and we stayed overnight, not only to support Paul and the cause of it all but to support me as well (even though she has her own family to think of - she is always there for me).  Adam was supporting Paul but as you know he was having to sort things out for the restaurant - but he was still 'there' for us all as always.  We have such an amazing family George - but that's the way we have always been with each other - you were ALWAYS there for them - they always came first.

So well done Paul  - we are all very proud of you.

We love and miss you George, more than any of us can express xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
