Paul's Half Marathon at Hyde Park

2014 October 12

On Sunday 12th October myself, Geraldine, Adam and Paul went to Hyde Park, London. Paul was competing in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in your memory. His Roy Castle t-shirt had 'FOR DAD' printed on the back of it. He raised money for the Foundation by competing in this. He has trained and did really well - completing it in 2 hours 5 mins which is really good. You would be proud of him. His legs ached a bit but he was much better than the Silverstone one last March. There were 16000 plus runners and he came 8065 (I think, but it was around that figure) so he was just over half way of the total runners. He enjoyed it so much that he's thinking of doing more. Hopefully, I'll be able to put some photos on your tribute page. Adam got up early on his day off to take us from Marlow and Geraldine came and stayed over on the Saturday night to go early Sunday morning. The race started at 9am. I know you were always so proud of all of them and I know you would be the same now, they have all been really supportive of me, even though they are all having a tough time themselves dealing with your loss. We really do miss you so much.........Lots of love from us all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
