Wow, what a day! Adam and Paul ran in the half marathon on Sunday 2nd March 2014 at Silverstone. Plenty of people there, both runners and spectators. Considering Adam and Paul were unable to train as much as they had hoped prior to the run they both did extremely well, I'm very proud of them both. It was emotional and a struggle but they both did it and completed it and in respectable times for both of them! They should be proud of themselves, I am! Geraldine, Ewan and Liam came to support Adam and Paul as well (Simon was competing in another half marathon in Reading so was unable to come to Silverstone). Adam and Paul had aching legs the following day and Geraldine had aching arms from carrying the heavy bags around (she wouldn't let me carrying them) and picking Liam up so he could see the runners! Thank you Geraldine! The weather was absolutely atrocious - SO windy and SO cold and then it poured with rain. There were no facilities to go inside. If you sat in the 'stands' you got blown away! Considering the conditions Ewan and Liam were very good. We came away cold, tired and very wet and for Adam has leg agony today (Monday), Paul is a bit better than Adam and Geraldine has massive arms ache. George you would be extremely proud of all of them and through their efforts they have raised a good amount of money for a worthwhile cause. Love you all loads. xxxxx
